Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a talented Data Center Facilities Design Engineer to join our Global Facilities Technical Services team on a contract basis. Based in Taiwan, the engineer will play a key role in the design, budgeting, construction, commissioning, operations, and monitoring of our technical spaces—primarily focusing on power, cooling, cabinets, and structured cabling systems.
This contractor role supports Siemens DISW's data center and server room infrastructure across both owned and leased locations, ensuring spaces are optimized and ready for IT deployment and maintained in top condition throughout their lifecycle.
Reporting to the Facilities Technical Services Manager and working closely with our Global Lead Engineer, the engineer will interface with Regional Facilities Operations, IT/T&I teams, external vendors, architects, consultants, and colocation data center providers.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead or support technical space development as part of regional office move and consolidation projects in Taiwan and across APAC, using Siemens DISW's standardized technical room reference design.
• Represent Siemens in design review meetings and construction coordination sessions with stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Review and validate equipment submittals, technical quotes, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with standards and project objectives.
• Maintain and update technical room reference designs based on project learnings, incorporating CAD/Visio drawings, 3D models, CFD simulations, technical specs, PowerPoint briefs, and vendor-provided documentation.
• Draft and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs) and equipment/service quotations, such as for UPS systems, precision cooling, or maintenance services.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement to evaluate bids and select vendors.
• Configure and expand Siemens’ global data center monitoring system (SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, Redfish API) to support Taiwan and other regional sites.
• Be part of a global escalation team, responding to incidents, diagnosing root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions for data center systems.
• Occasionally travel regionally or globally to support critical data center initiatives.
