We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hardware Technical Program Manager (HW TPM) to lead the development and manufacturing of complex optical assemblies. In this critical role, you will act as the primary bridge between our internal engineering teams and external Module Integrators. You will be responsible for driving suppliers to meet tight timelines, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality optical components from concept through mass production. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in optical assemblies manufacturing, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex supply chain dynamics. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all technical risks are identified, mitigated, and that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.;
Job description: Program Management & Execution
• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of optical components and module assemblies, focusing on specification, design, manufacturing, testing, process optimization, and integration.
• Create and manage comprehensive hardware project schedules that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs.
• Drive cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement) to ensure alignment and timely execution of program milestones.
• Proactively identify technical, logistical, and schedule risks; develop and implement creative mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
Supplier & Module Integrator Management
• Act as the primary technical liaison with external Module Integrators and contract manufacturers, driving them to meet aggressive timelines and quality standards.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, partner with Operations to establish a robust supply chain strategy, and manage the factory set-up for optical manufacturing (including molding, coating, assembly, and test processes).
• Conduct regular executive-level status reports, build readiness reviews, and new product reviews with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Travel domestically and internationally (up to 30-50%) to supplier sites for build support, process audits, and issue resolution.
Technical Leadership in Optical Manufacturing
• Leverage deep expertise in optical assemblies manufacturing to guide design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) discussions.
• Drive yield improvements, efficiency gains, and other target production metrics in collaboration with supplier engineers.
• Utilize predictive methods and lessons learned to anticipate and avoid manufacturing issues early in the development cycle.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives (e.g. 8D, 5Whys, FACA) for complex technical issues arising during production

Managing complex optical assembly builds for AR glasses, coordinating with suppliers like Quanta and Genius, and ensuring project progress and stakeholder communication
需求條件 / Key Requirements
Qualification:
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Optics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Hardware Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer in the high-tech industry, with a strong focus on hardware development and manufacturing processes.
• Supplier Management: Proven track record of successfully managing and partnering with Asia-based vendors, contract manufacturers, and Module Integrators to deliver complex hardware products on tight schedules.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of optical lens design, manufacturing processes (molding, coating, assembly), and optical testing/metrology.
• Language Proficiency: Full professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required to effectively communicate complex technical information to global cross-functional teams and executives.
