Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer contractor to provide in-region technical leadership and hands-on EE support for SiP (System-in-Package) and MLB (Main Logic Board) builds at our contract manufacturing site in Taiwan. This role is critical to ensuring build quality, accelerating issue resolution, and driving faster engineering decisions during the SiP manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary on-site EE resource at USI, providing day-to-day technical leadership and guidance to vendor engineering teams during SiP/MLB builds
Lead electrical triage and debug activities at the SMT line, including root cause analysis of failures related to SOC,
MCU, RF SiP, power-up logic, and system leakage
Drive rapid, data-driven engineering decisions at the build line to meet compressed SiP manufacturing timelines
Collaborate closely with Meta's HQ-based EE team to align on debug strategies, failure analysis findings, and corrective actions
Develop and maintain triage workflows and debug procedures tailored to the USI manufacturing environment Review and provide feedback on electrical test coverage, ensuring adequate screening of complex SiP/MLB assemblies
Support bring-up activities for new builds, including power sequencing validation, signal integrity checks, and functional verification
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (ME, firmware, test, quality) to resolve build-blocking issues
Document and communicate technical findings, failure trends, and build status through regular reports to the Meta HQ team
Identify and drive process improvements at USI to enhance build yield and reduce cycle time for electrical debug
需求條件 / Key Requirements
Qualification: Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware electrical engineering, preferably in consumer electronics or
mobile device development
Top 3 non-negotiable must skills:
● Expert in PCB/PCBA design, SMT, and DFM; experience with CM/ODM partners. Proficient in schematic review, BOM management, and ECO processes.
● Strong English required
● Background with factory experience is preferred.
Good to have skills:
● Prior experience with major CMs (Contract Manufacturers) in Taiwan, such as USI, Foxconn, or Pegatron/Packetron
● Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware electrical engineering, preferably in consumer electronics or mobile device development
● Expert in electrical debug and triage of complex systems, including SOC and MCU bring-up, debug, and validation.
