職務說明 / Key Responsibilities
Our IT Technology Solutions team is looking for an ML Solution Data Scientist to partner with R&D teams in leveraging machine learning, statistical analysis, and experimental design to accelerate innovation.
In this role, you will work closely with scientists to analyze experimental data, optimize formulations and processes, and maximize the value of the Uncountable platform. As the role evolves, you will also develop advanced analytical capabilities beyond the platform to support broader R&D initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Drive R&D Innovation with Data Science
Partner with R&D scientists to understand scientific challenges and experimental workflows.
Design and execute Design of Experiments (DoE) and optimization studies using the Uncountable platform.
Analyze experimental data using visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
Recommend data-driven solutions to improve formulations, processes, and research efficiency.
Train and support scientists in effectively using the platform and interpreting model results.
Deliver measurable improvements in R&D productivity through faster experimentation and optimized outcomes.
Expand Data Science Capabilities
Develop custom analytical models and tools beyond the platform when needed.
Integrate insights from multiple R&D and enterprise data sources.
Build reusable analytics methods, templates, and best practices.
Support the development of the organization's R&D data science and AI roadmap.
Technical Partnership & Continuous Improvement
Provide expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
Translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for scientists and business stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, workflows, and platform adoption.
Collaborate with global IT and Digitalization teams on scalable solutions and best practices.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or above in Data Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, and Applied Statistics.
Experience working with scientific, engineering, or R&D-related data.
Familiarity with Python or other data science/statistical analysis tools.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly.
Preferred
Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative or scientific field.
Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE), Bayesian Optimization, or Active Learning.
Experience in materials science, chemicals, manufacturing, or related industries.
Experience with machine learning libraries, dashboards, or data visualization tools.
Experience using R&D experimentation platforms such as Uncountable or similar systems.
