Key Responsibilities
1.Management
-Manage and supervise the Finance teams. This includes developing the team, reviewing processes for best-in-class processes, providing quarterly and annual reviews.
-Provide management and training to the Finance team.
2. Management & Financial Accounting
-Strong understanding US GAAP financial statement reporting. Strong partnering skills with the stakeholders from Corporate Accounting.
-Reviews bank reconciliations, interacts with Corporate treasury department relating to borrowings and remitting of excess cash, forecasts monthly cash flow.
-Maintains Japanese statutory books and other governmental compliance and works directly with tax agents.
-Maintains the internal control environment under US SOX and handles audits by both internal or external auditors
-Prepares journal entries for accruals, payroll, and pension.
-Works with stakeholders on revenue recognition, proof of deliveries, and multiple delivery reporting
-Reviews the processing of accounts payable and payment processing
-Prepares annual year-end tax corporate package statements. Works with outside tax consultant on tax return and strategically with US corporate tax department
-Manages the monthend close process and timely and accurate submission of the monthly financial statements packages.

-Degree in Accounting or its equivalent
-10 years and above Finance experience in an US multi-national environment and at least 5 years in a similar role.
-Good English speaking and writing skills. First class communication skills and confidence to work with and support local operations, sales and service management.
-SAP ERP Experience is a plus.
-Comfortable taking full financial responsibility for the finance department a manufacturing operation, getting into the detail where necessary.
-Experienced with working in a Global Corporate Shared Services environment.
-Sound commercial knowledge and ability.

-A people manager - possess drive, initiative, good communication and interpersonal skills
